A photostat model sheet from the Walt Disney Studios short films with Donald Duck (c.1940s/1950s). Featuring very detailed construction notes for Donald Duck’s design standards, Mickey Mouse, Pluto, the model sheet was created at the studio and used during the animation process. Model sheets were printed at the studio and distributed to the animators to ensure consistent character design. Standard sheets were used by animators for multiple productions during the time period. Measuring 10”x12” overall, with the character image measuring 7.75”x10”, the model sheet is in good condition with light discoloration, minor edge wear, staple holes, pin holes, and heavy staining throughout with notable areas along the right edge and bottom right corner.
